Description:
This project required extensive pre-planning and involved the demolition of old buildings including the existing Lutheran Hospital parking garage which had hidden the hospital from view. New surface parking lots were created incorporating iron decorative fencing and landscaping. In addition, the now exposed hospital was refaced with attractive brick and masonry elements while also incorporating new window openings in the structure.
A dramatic front entrance to the building was created incorporating work that allowed for a renovated lobby connecting to the main hospital. The lobby is prominent in its use of upscale green carpeting and porcelain floor tiles along with light wallpaper contrasting with the dark mahogany woodwork. |
